Shape your own story
in a clear, powerful way
1. Stories make ideas memorable.
Facts are easy to forget; stories give them a beginning, middle, and end, which helps our brains remember them better.

2. Stories foster empathy.
When you hear someone’s personal story, you can imagine their life and feelings. That builds understanding across differences (such as gender identity, race, or politics).

3. Stories influence opinions more than arguments.
Data appeals to logic; stories reach both logic and emotion. That combination often shifts attitudes and behavior.

4. Stories give meaning to experience.
Sharing your story can help you process what’s happened to you and feel less alone. Hearing others’ stories can make you feel part of a community.

5. Stories motivate people to act.
Movements for justice, such as trans rights or civil rights, rely on personal stories to show what’s at stake and why change is needed.
The most cherished heirlooms are the fond memories our families have given us.

Poems and rhymes are related but not the same:
  • A poem is a piece of writing that uses patterned language (like lines, stanzas, imagery, rhythm) to express ideas or emotions. Poems may or may not rhyme.
  • A rhyme is when words have the same or similar ending sounds (cat/hat, blue/you). Rhymes are just one tool a poem (or song, rap, etc.) can use.
So: all poems are poems, but only some poems are rhyming poems. Rhymes can also appear outside of poems (like in slogans or song lyrics).

A Journey of Love: The Tale of Mike and Barb : March 18th 1967

In the vibrant midsize city of Madison, Wisconsin, known for its beautiful lakes, progressive spirit, and educational focus,
                                                                     their love story began.

Years passed like a whispering breeze—through seasons of joy and hardship, through change and steadfast care. From young hearts entwined in a sweet embrace to a life filled with warmth and grace, they built a home with laughter and cheer, and
                                                                     memories made year after year.

Barb’s smile is a beacon; her kindness, profound. Mike’s heart is a fortress where love knows no bounds. Through the changing seasons, hand in hand, they weathered the storms and
                                                                     stood together strong.

Then moving to the village of Fall River, WI the loving couple had three children beyond compare. What do you know, Joe was first, then sweet Mary with her gentle glow, and soon after came their beloved daughter,
Donna Mae to seal the show.

With stories of adventures near and far, their lives intertwined like a shining star. From summer photos to cozy family chats, their bond grew stronger through all of that. With every wrinkle came a tale to tell—a
testament to love to precious to sell.

Years flew by, and soon six grandchildren filled the days with laughter and delight. Then came a great-grandson, with little
                                                                     Levi, now leading the way.

Now, as they sit side by side in the sun, reflecting on journeys shared, their hearts still beat as one. Mike and Barb have found a love everlasting
                                                                      —forever unbound.

So here’s to this remarkable couple, a rare and beautiful legend, in a world full of stories to tell.
To Mike and Barb, may your love always remain a beautiful tale for all to see.
