Hearing Aids:
 I have inherited hearing loss and have hearing aids, and I would like to explain how most HA’s work for the person.
    1. Hearing Aids make all noise louder, even speech.
    2. When talking to me, use your indoor voice.
    3. Please talk directly to me, at a slower pace, so I understand the words correctly.
    4. Understand I am not ignorant; it takes time for me to understand some words.


NOTE: Addressing hearing loss, such as through the use of hearing aids, may help reduce cognitive decline and the risk of dementia.
